Tracing the buried sections of Yellow Creek today! Starting along the Beltline. Ditches and low-lying pond areas are still reminiscent of the creeks old path.

Increasing signs of a former ravine.

Suddenly, a wild creek appears! Got two steps into here, thinking it was a public park. Then I realized it was private property. Shame.

After a brief daylight, the creek returns underground beneath houses, buildings, and a public recreation park. Double shame.

Some obvious rights-of-way. Some open, some impassable, some fenced off. We bury creeks for vast fields of dandelion-infested grass. I don’t get it.

The mad dash. No sign of a waterway. Probably reducing my lifespan by a couple days hanging around here too. Can confirm: no creek here.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you East Yellow Creek and West Yellow Creek; the headwaters of this tributary.
